WHAT DOES 'SMOKING FOR JESUS' MEAN?
Great question! Our ministry's and school's name comes from the Bible in Revelations 3:16.
"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."
So we are RED HOT, SMOKIN', ON FIRE FOR JESUS!
IS SFJMCS ACCREDITED?
SFJMCS is not accredited or affiliated with any accreditation agency during the 2023-24 school year. Because we do hold Model Status under the educational standards of Accelerated Christian Education, we are able to offer accreditation through Lighthouse Christian Academy's (LCA) Dual-enrollment program.
Parents with students in levels K-8 have the option of enrolling in those students in LCA at an additional cost to my SFJMCS tuition and fees.
Dual- enrollment for students in levels 9-12 in LCAÂ is mandatory. The additional cost to is included in yearly registration fees.
Lighthouse Christian Academy (LCA) is awarded full accreditation status as a distance education provider by Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS), National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA), and Accreditation International (Ai). https://www.lcaed.com/dual-enrollment
IS SFJMCS AFFILIATED WITH A SPECIFIC DENOMINATION?
No, SFJMCS is not affiliated with any particular denomination. Smoking For Jesus Ministry Church itself is non-denominational.
WHAT ARE YOUR SCHOOL DAYS & HOURS?
Monday: 8:30am -12:30pm (PreK-K only)
Tues - Fri: 8:30-3:30pm
DOES SFJMCS HAVE AN AFTERCARE PROGRAM?
No, we do not currently offer aftercare.
DO STUDENTS ATTEND CHAPEL?
Yes, students & staff attend weekly chapel services every Wednesday.
DO STUDENTS WEAR UNIFORM?
Yes, students do wear uniforms Monday through Thursday. Students are allowed to dress down on Friday's.
DOES SFJMCS ACCEPT STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS OR EXCEPTIONALITIES?
Students with special needs or exceptionalities are gladly accepted on a case-by-case basis. Please give us a call to discuss your child's special need or exceptionality.
